Dzulkifli Buyong

Dzulkifli Buyong was born in 1948, Kuala Lumpur. He was known as a child prodigy who came out during the sixties, and had produced  some of his most famous paintings during that period, of which came before he was out of his teenage years. For the most part, he had sensitively captured the innocence, in the world of Malaysian children.  he was often described as ”the child with the outstanding talent” whilst studying at the Victoria Institution in Kuala Lumpur. Dzulkifli Buyong studied under the guidence of Patrick Ng Kah Onn from the Wednesday Art Group. His works, are mainly in soft pastels. except for his art lessons under Patrick Ng, Dzulkifli may thus be considered a self-taught artist with no formal artistic training, when he produced his remarkable painting in the sixties.
