Siaran Media Pameran Fotografi ‘Foto Cetak’

KUALA LUMPUR – Balai Seni Negara dengan sukacitanya mempamerkan Pameran Fotografi ‘Foto Cetak’ dari 6 Ogos sehingga 26 Ogos 2017 bertempat di Creative Space 1 , Balai Seni Negara. Pameran ini yang memaparkan sebanyak 30 buah karya dari 3 orang pengkarya iaitu Afendi Md Shas, Fadhil Kamarudin, dan Shahril Nawawi . Pameran ini bertujuan memaparkan pelbagai kaedah fotografi (hybrid) yang sedang diamalkan dan cara lama yang masih mendapat perhatian umum. Pengaruh seni digital terhadap seni fotografi juga telah mencorak arena seni fotografi menjadi lebih kreatif dan unik. Melalui pameran ini juga, jurufoto akan berkongsi pengalaman mereka dalam proses penghasilan karya bersama pengunjung.

Perubahan arus teknologi membuatkan semakin ramai pengamal fotografi tidak mencetak foto dan hanya memaparkan hasil fotografi di media sosial seperti Facebook, Instagram dan lain-lain dalam paparan digital. Rentetan dengan itu, pameran ini memperlihatkan beberapa teknik percetakan dengan menggunakan beberapa teknik dan medium didalam pelbagai stail/genre fotografi. Antara medium yang digunakan adalah cetakan foto digital atas kertas foto, cetakan atas acrylic board, cetakan 3 dimensi, cetakan atas kepingan metal, cetakan atas kertas lukisan, teknik lenticular, teknik proses alternatif dan beberapa lagi teknik dan  jenis cetakan. Pameran ini secara tidak langsung mengangkat nilai estetika dalam bidang fotografi di Malaysia serta mengajak khalayak untuk menghayati seni fotografi secara lebih mendalam dan terperinci.

Majlis perasmian pameran ini diadakan pada 11 Ogos 2017 jam 3.30 petang yang dirasmikan oleh Encik Md Yusoff Othman,Mantan Pensyarah Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) bertempat di Creative Space 1, Lobi Pentadbiran Balai Seni Negara. Pameran ini dibuka kepada orang ramai dari 6 Ogos 2017 sehingga 26 Ogos 2017. Masuk adalah percuma.

Press Release Merdeka : Unity & Diversity Exhibition

KUALA LUMPUR – National Art Gallery (NAG), brings you Merdeka: Unity & Diversity Exhibition, displaying 60 artworks by 22 local artists, centered on the accumulation of Malaysians ‘experiences and nostalgic of the past as well as artists’ new findings of the present ranging from representational, expressionism, folk art with figurative as a subject matter presented in the show. The exhibition is also to express the meaning of Merdeka through inspired artworks by artists from different age, gender, race and backgrounds. The exhibition will also been showcased in Johor Bahru where it will be exhibited at Warisan Johor Foundation, followed by exhibition at KOMTAR, Penang and SACC Mall Shah Alam in order to share with everyone the spirit of independence, unity and diversity.

The exhibition is a collaboration between NAG together with Infinity Logistics & Transport Sdn Bhd – Asian asset based Logistics Company and this exhibition is part of their Corporate Social Responsibility Project to help local artists concurrently celebrate the nation by promoting unity and diversity via art.

The inauguration will be held on 8th August 2017 at 2.30pm and will be officiated by

YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul AzizMinister of Tourism and Culture Malaysia at Creative Space 3, National Art Gallery.

The exhibition on view from 5th August 2017 until 31st August 2017 at Creative Space 3, National Art Gallery. Admission is free.
